English-style lounge with overstuffed seating located in the
resort's distinctive pink Plantation House. Outside
specialists provide in-room massage and beauty services on
request (surcharges). Supervised children's activities are
provided in an air-conditioned room and outdoors during major
holidays and busy seasons.
Across the street from the main resort buildings, two
air-conditioned, multicolored "chattel houses"--like those
housing slaves in Barbados' sugar-plantation past--contain a
fitness center with cardio machines, a Universal gym, and free
weights, and a gift shop with a library.
An air-conditioned television room also contains a computer
providing complimentary high-speed Internet access around the
clock.
A complimentary English high tea is served daily in the
central Plantation House lounge.
The Terrace Restaurant - Open-air seafront restaurant with
pink linens, fresh flowers. Serves à la carte breakfast,
lunch, dinner. English/American breakfast menu. Lunch menu of
soups, salads, coconut shrimp, pasta, burgers, grilled panini.
Dinner menu with choices such as lobster bisque, shrimp spring
roll, red snapper tempura, Thai chicken curry, pasta, steak,
and "catch of the day.". Tuesday night barbecue buffet with
live music. Jazz on Thursday nights. On Friday nights, seafood
and caviar are featured, with a local fisher on hand to
describe the available fish, which are displayed on ice in a
scale-model replica of a local fishing boat. Caribbean
guitarist on Saturday nights. Dinner dress code: long pants,
collared shirts for men.
