All of the 22 rooms and 23 suites at Sandpiper Inn are graciously furnished with a Caribbean overtone. The furniture is rattan or "pickled pine", and the floors are Italian ceramic or local clay tiles with throw rugs. The works of the island artists decorate the walls. Accommodations include air conditioning and also are equipped with ceiling fans and refrigerators. The one and two bedroom suites have fully equipped kitchens for those who prefer self catering.

Garden Rooms - Air-conditioned twin bedded rooms, with private bathroom and patio or balcony. These rooms are garden view and can accommodate 2 adults. All rooms are individually appointed and have wall safes, fridges and hair dryers. Bathrooms have tubs and showers.

One Bedroom Suites - Air-conditioned one bedroomed accommodation with separate living room containing a sofa bed, kitchen, private bathroom and patio or balcony. These suites are ocean view or garden view and can accommodate either 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Two Bedroom Suites - Spacious air conditioned two bedroomed accommodation with separate living room containing a sofa bed, kitchen, two private bathrooms and large patio or balcony. These suites are ocean view or garden view and can accommodate up to 6 persons.

All rooms are individually appointed and have fridges, wall safes and hair dryer.

The restaurant at the Sandpiper is renowned as being one of the finest on the island and the cuisine rates very highly, having won numerous awards.

Sandpiper’s Executive Chef offers eclectic menus with a combination of Caribbean and International influences. Dinner menus are written daily to ensure good variety and freshness of ingredients.

A popular feature with the guests is the exchange dining when on the meal plan, whereby they are able to dine at other luxury West Coast hotels.

The Gardens - Splendid shades of flowering Bougainvillea hang from the terraces of the rooms and suites overlooking these peaceful gardens.

In this glorious tropical setting of orchid trees and mature swaying coconut trees, one can stroll along the footpaths, remembering to gaze at the Travelers Palm near the sea and admire the beauty of this tree which welcomes all visitors with its large fan-shaped arms.....an invitation to enjoy the enchanting magical atmosphere of The Sandpiper.

The Beach - The Sandpiper is situated on a long white sandy bay, with calm waters on St. James Beach. Swimming is excellent and a wide range of watersports are available.

The Sandpiper has its own watersports operation and we offer complimentary waterskiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, kayaking, Hobiecat and Sunfish sailing.

Scuba diving and deep sea fishing are also available at an additional charge. There is an underwater park situated off Coral Reef Club (5 minutes walk down the beach) which is excellent for diving and snorkeling

Swimming - There is a mosaic tiled swimming pool in the gardens, by the bar and restaurant.

Tennis - There are two tennis courts at the Sandpiper and there are two at our associate hotel, the Coral Reef Club. All courts are hard surface and are lit for night play. There is a complimentary tennis clinic available Monday to Saturday, between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 pm.

The use of these courts is complimentary to hotel guests.

Golf - Guests can play golf at the Tom Fazzio designed Sandy Lane golf course and also have access to the exclusive Robert Trent Jones Jnr. designed golf course - the Royal Westmoreland. Green fees range from US$150.00 during the summer to US$200.00 during the winter, for 18 holes. Includes golf buggy. Golf clubs and shoes are available for hire.
