Silver Sands Resort boasts 130 units - 89 Suites and Studios and 41 rooms. This includes a new block (1998) directly fronting the beach which comprises of 18 Deluxe Studios and 6 Deluxe Suites.

The hotel rooms face the main pool area and have sea views while the other studios have either ocean or garden views. There are also 20 one-bedroom suites with tropical garden views.

The Studios and Suites all have kitchen facilities. Groceries can be easily purchased from the Mini Mart on the hotel premises.units.

The resort has Maytag washers and dryers located in the resort for your convenience. Tokens and soap powder may be purchased at the Mini Mart. Dry cleaning and laundry services are also available.

Seafans Restaurant: The popular Seafans Restaurant serves breakfast daily and offers table d'hote and a la carte dining in the evening. This lovely restaurant overlooks the ocean for a romantic and tropical setting.

Lunch is available at the Seahorse Grill, which also serves snacks in the evening. The Grill offers soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers and pizza.

Enjoy rum punches, exotic tropical drinks and the famous Barbados Banks Beer at the popular Seahorse Bar which is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to midnight.

Beauty Salon:  Just opened is this delightful salon which can take care of all your hairdressing and beauty requirements.

Shopping:  The mini mart located on the resort premises is well stocked with a comprehensive range of food and beverage products. The boutique offers an attractive display of beach and casual wear and is open daily.

Pool: Silver Sands Resort has a large fresh water swimming pool as well as a large children's pool.

The pool, which overlooks the sea, is large and wide with a walk-over bridge and is surrounded by a spacious pool-deck area where you can relax and unwind and leave all your cares behind!

 Silver Sands Resort provides a wide range of daily and evening activities.

These include scuba diving demonstrations, cookery classes, live bands, shows and sporting events.

Windsurfing:  Silver Sands Resort is internationally famous as a center for advanced windsurfing (skill rating required 5-6). The Club Mistral windsurfing station is open between November and June and brand new rigs and boards are brought in each year. Lockers are provided for windsurfers coming to Barbados with their own equipment.

Golf:  Play to your hearts content on Barbados' only public Champion Golf Course. Silver Sands Resort has teamed up with the Barbados Golf Club to provide guests of our properties with special 7-day and 14-day golf packages for this new golf course, located at Durants, Christ Church, on the south coast of the island. The 6805 yard par 72 course which has many links style characteristics is the work of Ron Kirby, one of the world’s most experienced golf course designers.

Tennis:  There are two hard surface tennis courts and there is no charge for registered guests. Rackets and balls may be rented from the Mini Mart.

Beach: Silver Sands Resort is located on the beach with a semi-private beach area. The beach of white coral sand is wide and deep, stretching for miles along the coast and sloping to the clear blue ocean waters.

During the winter months, the shifting patterns of the tradewinds off the coast of Silver Sands create unique conditions for Windsurfing and Silver Sands is internationally recognised as a world class centre for this sport.
